The S3L Brompton

The S-type has a clean, sporty style. The handlebar has only a slight bend for the grips, and is light (142gms lighter than an M-type). The grip position is 70mm lower than on the M-type, and the handlebar stem has more forward reach, which gives an “out-of-the-wind” ride position similar to that on many a hybrid or mountain-bike.

• This is a perfect machine for daily use.  The new standard Sturmey Archer 3 speed transmission is used on this model Brompton. We suggest equipping the bike with the 12% reduced gear option which provides a more comfortable gear range for average riders.
• Any options are possible with an S-type, with one important exception: only the new S-bag can be used as front luggage, as, with the brake levers relatively low, there is no room for any of the other full size front luggage options.
